Comments

Your comment section, read before it spreads.

Every public comment on your Instagram posts and Facebook page is read for sentiment and scored. Questions get answered in public, fans on Facebook get a like, abuse gets hidden or held for you, and real complaints reach a person.

What happens to a comment

  1. 1

    It arrives in your inbox

Instagram comments and Facebook page comments land in the same inbox as your DMs and email, tagged with the platform and the post they were left on.

  2. 2

    It is read for sentiment

Positive, neutral, or negative, with a confidence score. The score is what your policy checks against, so nothing acts on a guess.

  3. 3

    It gets a suggested move

Hide, Like, Skip, Reply, or Like and reply. Liking works on Facebook only, because Instagram does not let apps like comments. Questions get a drafted answer grounded in your products and policies.

  4. 4

    Your policy decides who acts

Above your thresholds, and only with comment automation on, the move runs by itself. Everything else waits in the review queue for one key from you.

  5. 5

    Complaints go to a person

A real customer with a real problem is not handled with a public one-liner. The comment escalates to your team with the context attached.

The policy, control by control

Set once per workspace. It applies to every connected comment channel.

The master switch. When it is off, comments are still read and suggestions still appear, but nothing is hidden, liked, or posted without you.

How many minutes ReplyBay waits before posting a public reply. An answer that lands four seconds after the comment reads like a bot; one that lands a few minutes later reads like a shop that pays attention.

Replies scored below this stay as suggestions in the review queue instead of being posted.

Turns liking on or off, with its own threshold, so only comments that are clearly positive get a heart from your account. Facebook only: Instagram does not let apps like comments.

Choose whether abuse above the threshold is hidden at once or held for your decision. On Instagram and Facebook a hidden comment stays visible to the person who wrote it, so it does not start a second argument.

Example values

The review queue

Whatever the policy does not settle waits in the inbox. Three filters split it: Needs review for decisions only you can make, Attention for comments that look like trouble, and AI suggestions for moves ready to apply. Each comment shows the suggested action; one key applies it, and you can pick a different move just as fast.

Where it runs

  • Instagram comments Live

Enable comment monitoring on a connected Instagram account. No extra credentials.

  • Facebook page comments Live

Enable it on the same page connection you use for Messenger.

  • TikTok comments Waiting on TikTok

Waiting on TikTok approving ReplyBay's Organic API access. Until then ReplyBay does not read or act on TikTok comments.

What it will not do

  • Act on anything while comment automation is switched off.
  • Post a public reply scored below your minimum confidence. It waits for you instead.
  • Answer a genuine complaint with a public one-liner. Complaints escalate to a person.
  • Hide abusive comments by itself when you chose Review first.
  • Reply the instant a comment lands when you set a reply delay.
  • Touch TikTok comments before TikTok approves access.

Put the comment section on a policy.

Connect Instagram or your Facebook page, set your thresholds, and watch the review queue for a week before you let it run.
