Someone comments “LINK”. The link arrives in their DMs.

Write a keyword rule once. When a comment on your Instagram post matches, ReplyBay sends your private message to that person, and can post a short public reply so everyone else knows to ask the same way.

From comment to DM

  1. 1

    You write the rule

A keyword, how it should match, the private message, and optionally a public reply and a single post to watch.

  2. 2

    Someone comments

The comment arrives from your connected Instagram account like any other.

  3. 3

    ReplyBay checks your rules

Case and punctuation are ignored. The first enabled rule that matches, in the order you created them, wins. A comment gets one DM at most, even if Instagram delivers it twice.

  4. 4

    The DM goes out

Your message is sent privately to the commenter. If you wrote a public reply, it is posted under the comment once the DM is sent.

  5. 5

    It shows in the log

Every sent DM appears in the activity log and uses one credit. The public reply is free.

Anatomy of a rule

One keyword, once per workspace
Each keyword can exist in one rule per workspace, so two rules never fight over the same word.
Your words, sent as written
The private message is the text you wrote, up to 1,000 characters. Nothing is generated or rephrased.
All posts or one
Leave the post empty to listen everywhere, or enter a post ID to run a rule only on one campaign.
Pause without deleting
Every rule has its own switch. A rule that is off sends nothing.

Activity and credits

The Automations page shows your credits balance and a log of every DM a rule has sent. Each automated DM uses one credit. When the balance runs out, rules stop sending until credits are available again. Public replies are free, and the AI replies in your inbox are not counted against these credits.

Where it runs

  • Instagram Live

Runs on a professional Instagram account connected with comment access.

  • Facebook page comments Not yet

Moderated and answered today, but keyword DMs do not run on Facebook yet.

  • TikTok Not yet

Waiting on TikTok approving ReplyBay's Organic API access. No date promised.

What it will not do

  • Write or rephrase the message. It sends the text in your rule.
  • Send the same person two DMs for one comment.
  • Send anything when your credits balance is empty.
  • Run a rule you switched off.
  • Replace comment moderation. Abuse and complaints still follow your comment policy.
  • Run on Facebook or TikTok today.

When someone writes back, the conversation lands in your inbox like any other Instagram DM.

Let one keyword do the busywork.

Connect Instagram, write your first rule, and read the activity log after your next post.
